This is a sponsored post on behalf of HipChip offered by the Tampa Bay Bloggers.

There have been times when I and other parents wanted to get together to buy a gift for a well-loved teacher. Have you ever tried to do something like this? Organizing this can be a real pain, but HipChip offers to make group gift giving is much easier.

Although the time when the gift is given is exciting, getting there takes a lot of time and lots of energy. Working with the group is the tough part – choosing a gift that everyone likes and getting the money needed on time is a big hassle. It brings back memories of being the Girl Scout cookie mom!

Group Gift Giving with HipChip

HipChip is a website that gives you the control you need to get a gift from a group. And it’s a completely free service! Use it on your desktop, tablet or smartphone. (It’s not an app, though.) Here’s the simple process:

  1. Sign up for an account and you then become the “gift organizer”.
  2. Designate who the gift will be given to (a teacher, co-worker, boss, etc.)
  3. Choose a gift card from the site, including those from restaurants, specialty stores and other items.
  4. Decide on the amount of the card and the date of delivery.
  5. Enter the information of the people in your group.

HipChip takes care of the rest. They will send out invites to your group members, a suggested amount to chip in (which comes from the organizer) and informs you when money comes in. If needed, reminders for money will be emailed from HipChip and not you.

When the deadline is reached, HipChip adds up the amount collected and emails the organizer the gift card. The group can decide if the card is printed and hand delivered or sent via email. Sounds like easy group gift giving if you ask me!

HipChip Pizza Event

And here’s a special deal: HipChip is giving a pizza party to the first three classrooms in each state that use HipChip to give a gift to their teacher this holiday season. If your classroom is one of the first three in your state to start a gift for your teacher, HipChip will give you a $50 gift card to Domino’s. Find the information on the HipChip Facebook event page.

I received a HipChip gift card for my review and participating in the promotion of this product.  All opinions are my own, as always.
